Note: If you get any errors that sound like "reinstall the application", "the runtime asked to terminate the application", or "the application was not configured properly", then open up the folder you installed into, open "bin", and double-click/run the "vcredist_x86" program as Administrator. This problem seems to especially affect some Vista users.

These packages contains both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries.
Note: Check for an installation instructions file to be extracted.
To install binaries into the global path, run the "Install Vega Strike.sh" script.

This package is in RAR format. It is compressed non-solid, which means you can open it in an Archiver program or extract individual files. Make sure to check 'Create Folders'

Do not open this in a Graphical Archiver program. It will cause it to freeze for a few minutes. To extract: Run "tar -jvxf vegastrike-linux-0.5.0.tar.bz2" from a console.

Note: You may also download RPMs of the 0.5.0 data as well as of the executables.
In addition, if you are interested in just the binaries, there are compatible 32-bit and 64-bit binaries.

FreeBSD Ports of Vega Strike
There are now 0.5.0 ports for vegastrike and for vegastrike-data.
