Note: If you get any errors that sound like "reinstall the application", "the runtime asked to terminate the application", or "the application was not configured properly", then open up the folder you installed into, open "bin", and double-click/run the "vcredist_x86" program as Administrator. This problem seems to especially affect some Vista users.

For most distributions, you'll find an appropriate repository in the forum announcement.

For other distributions, you'll find the data packs in sourceforge's download page. Only vegastrike-data is mandatory, but the others add valuable extras.

Do not open these in a Graphical Archiver program. It will cause it to freeze for a few minutes. To extract: Run "tar xvjf vegastrike-whatever-0.5.1.r1.tar.bz2" from a console.
